Current mood: okay

So, we're trapped, and everyone is freaking out. Except me.

Personally, I don't really see the problem with not being able to leave. I like it here, I don't want to leave. The only thing that worries me is not being able to owl away for my medication, but at least I don't have to worry about that just yet.

The idea of it is actually kind of comforting. It reminds me of being in St Mungo's, all safe. No one can get in. I mean I guess if I think about all the curses that had to be removed it sounds pretty silly, but I know that everyone did a great job, and that they'll figure this out.

And with no owls coming in, if something has happened to my family, I won't have to find out. Thank merlin.

I am also happily a member of the not freaking out club, Hannah. We were planning to be here all year anyway, so it's not a big deal. Besides, I think there's some good company about.

As far as your medication goes, I'm sure someone can figure out a potion to brew.

[Hexed against Students]

I figure this is one of the safest places to be stuck now, so I know what you mean.

Yeah, I brought plenty with me, sometimes I forget little things like that with all the other more important things I have to do.

I'm sure there is someone, although I wish it wasn't Draco. I mean I'm sure he's a nice person to someone, but I don't want him to make fun of me. He went through worse than I did and didn't need that kind of help.

Well that's good at least. I'm sure there's plenty of time to figure something out then.

And plenty of time for us to hang out too, so you know.

[Hexed private to Hannah]

Yes, but sometimes there are things people can't do by themselves. I don't really know what Draco is like, but I can't he'd be that callous to make fun of you for this. It's not something that can be helped, and you know that.

We should hang out, I'd love to have a chat and some tea...I actually splurged a bit on some nice herbal ones for the start of the year - helps me to relax when people start tearing their hair out.

[Hexed private to Justin]
I guess you're right. I'll have a chat to him sometime.

Tea is always good. I've got a variety here as well. But we should definitely hang out so I can find out what you've been doing these last five years.

[Hexed private to Hannah]

Good. I'm sure it will be fine.

Not, not particularly. I'm rather magnanimous as well, so even if it is bad, I don't keep a book of it. I just let it go.

Yes, it's really just a nice excuse for everyone to band together. And a good test of how strong this "new" Hogwarts is, in spirit.

Well that's an excellent attitude to have about this whole thing. I know I've had some fun getting to know some of my fellow professors and the visitors.

I'm fine, it's something I've had to manage for a while now.

Are you okay?

What do you mean by that? Don't I sound okay?

I guess I never knew that about you. It's a bit disturbing when I think about how little any of us shared in school, even those of us in the same house.

Oh, of course you do, I just wanted to make sure. You've got a lot of responsibility, though I'm sure you can handle it. Better then I could, anyway.

Well I didn't actually know about until my mother died. Apparently sometimes it doesn't emerge until people are twenty or so; I was a bit younger. So you needn't fear I'm keeping secrets from you, Sue.

Well thanks, Harry. Busy with filing mostly, but I don't mind. It's nice to be able to make a contribution without having to stand in front of a classroom.

How about you? Does DADA feel as cursed as it did when we were at school?

I'm not sure what it would feel like to be cursed, but I suppose not.

Hopefully that work has lessened some with the lack of incoming messages from the Ministry. I haven't heard from you since school, and I'd be interested to hear what you've been getting up to.

Oh, I can make the time. I spend most of my time just working on my projects at my desk - it's quite relaxing.

My story is no where near as exciting as yours must be, but I'd love to hang out.

Fantastic. I'll bring some firewhiskey, I hear that's a good way to unwind.

Just let me know what time you'll be done and I'll stop by your office.

I'll come around about five then.

Most of my "stash" is thanks to working in a pub for two years. I don't drink much, so I have 2 years worth of Christmas and birthday bottles of firewhiskey from various people.

Didn't they even have a quilting circle or anything? Perhaps working with your hands might help with coordination. Not that you need help, of course. But it's very good for flexibility.
